About us

IGL Construction, LLC., has already made a name for itself in the Iowa Great Lakes Corridor. Although only established in 2014, members of IGL have been in the construction business for over 20 years. The company’s mission is efficiency, affordability and quality.

Two housing developments located in Spencer and Arnolds Park showcase IGL Construction’s superior building expertise. 

Gateway by IGL, located in the southwest quadrant of Spencer, hosts 23 slab-on-grade homes situated on a 7-acre plat. 

Pelican Ridge is an established community located in Arnolds Park, Iowa. IGL Construction has built 13 move-in ready and 5 custom homes in the lakeside development.

IGL's newest project, Westfield by IGL will be located west of Spencer featuring 57 homes with the building process being completed in 2022. Westfield will feature four different home designs, all affordable and beautiful.

Kellie Beneke

Over the past 15 years, Kellie has been involved in various construction projects ranging from single family home construction to redesign & remodels and commercial. Kellie has over 25 years of business experience, including accounting, budgeting, strategic planning and project management. She is committed to creating opportunities for young people to be successful in Northwest Iowa. She and her husband enjoy entertaining and summer outdoor activities.

Josh Nelson

Member

Josh is a passionate entrepreneur with a focus on discovering and developing new opportunities in the community. During his career, he has started several successful companies, with the largest being in the telecommunication and oil and gas industries. Josh is CEO of Great Lakes Communication Corp., one of the largest privately owned Competitive Local Exchange Carriers (CLEC). His favorite aspect of being an entrepreneur is solving unique problems and sharing with others how to avoid similar situations and generate solutions. Josh enjoys hunting with his dog and spending time at the lake with his wife and their son.
